100 days with Antigone Rising

What a blast we had today! Thanks to the US embassy we had a concert presented by Antigone Rising, an all-female rock group from New York, USA. They sang a range of song genres from rock to country blues. Classes from grade 6 to 10 were not only entertained by this extremely professional and talented group, but were also educated about US music and culture.

We also celebrated 100 days of school today. This was marked by primary pupils bringing in 100 items such as 100 carrot sticks, 100 pieces of apples, 100 cookies, 100 football cards and 100 gummy sweets, amongst many other interesting items.

Valentine's Day 2012

Once again, the air was filled with love! Hands were filled with balloons, flowers and chocolates...and paint! We had pupils make prints of their hands in the shape of a heart in pink, red and white paint. The finished product is beautiful and a very special addition to the decor of the school. We even had a picture taken of the pupils standing in a heart shape. The afternoon was a great success, thanks to our student council under the leadership of Nadia Tannous and Doua Abou Elafia and supervised by Mr. John.
