Singing for the Pope...part 2
There was much excitement in our school today as we watched the live stream of the Pope's visit with President Shimon Peres at the President's residence in Jerusalem.
We had most of the school in the hall watching the event on a big screen, as it was projected from the Internet. The children erupted with shouts of excitement to see their friends on the screen.

Singing for the Pope
We are excited about the fact that 40 of our pupils from Grade 5 to 8 have been selected to perform as part of a Children's Mass Choir for His Holiness Pope Francis, next week on Monday, 26th May in Jerusalem. The event will be televised live on most local TV channels from about 10am on Monday morning.
The same company who chose some of our pupils last year to sing for President Shimon Peres approached the school a few days ago and asked if we would like to work with them again. Of course, we did not hesitate and so jumped at the opportunity. The pupils will be part of a choir of 120 children from all over the country.
See our post from 13th June 2013 about the 90th Birthday event for President Shimon Peres.
