150th Celebrations

We had a whirlwind of a week with different activities to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the school. Apart from being in many major media articles (Ha'raetz English Edition), both here in Israel and in Scotland (The Scotsman), we were visited by many Tabeetha Alumni through the week. We were all treated to drama productions and talent shows. Visitors were taken on tours of the school and had opportunity to meet the pupils. Of course, the highlight of the week was the Gala Alumni Dinner on Saturday night, where we had a gathering of over 300 people. Most of the guests were Alumni form all over the world from across the decades. Pictures from the event can be seen on the Yaffa48 website.
There were representatives from each of the decades from the 1950s to the present. A video presentation of each decade was also shown. These can be seen on YouTube. (1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s to present) It was a magical evening and it was a great experience to see many people being reunited after so many years.
