So much to be excited about!

With the year rapidly drawing to a conclusion, we have so much to be excited about, as well as being extremely proud of the accomplishments of our wonderful pupils!

The 90th Birthday Party for Shimon Peres was wonderful to watch and our children did an excellent job of holding Tabeetha's name high. In case you missed the live TV broadcast, it can be viewed here.

Also, we have nearly completed our green-green-greenhouse, made from recycled metal and plastic bottles.

The green-green-greenhouse will be used as an educational tool for learning about recycling and the environment, as well as growing herbs, vegetables and other plants, like orchids.

The project was birthed by Antony Short, Principal of the school, after seeing something similar in Scotland, and helped along by Marc Lewis (in the picture below - center), a past teacher of Tabeetha, who is an excellent metal sculptor and Linda Rosenthal (below right), Art teacher and Albert Odeh (below left), our maintenance man. Thank you, Marc and Albert, for your many hours of cutting and welding metal! The end product is going to look beautiful!

There are a few trips taking place over the next week before we break up for the summer holidays. Tomorrow Grade 6 are going on their annual surfing trip at Top Sea Surfing School and Grade 10 are going to a kibbutz in the south of the country, where they will participate in all sorts of adventures. Grade 9 are currently at Neve Shalom where they are learning about how to handle conflict through various workshops and counseling sessions. All in all, a very busy but very rewarding time!
